About Us

Our Story

Welcome to Johnson A&B Farm page! We are a small hobby farm located in Southwest Minnesota. At our farm we raise a herd of registered myotonic (fainting) goats (plus a few odd ball other goats) and an assortment of poultry. The poultry flock includes khaki campbell standard ducks, snowy call ducks, and sweetgrass turkeys.

We started our adventure in 2015 when we were given the opportunity to move onto our beautiful little farm. First we started with some layer chickens as we built fencing to be able to add larger animal to our farm. From there in 2017 we added two cows: Sue an AngusXLimousine and Hazel a purebred Hereford.  The next year we got some pygmy goats (2018). Then in the spring of 2019 we welcomed our first calves to be born on our farm, two handsome bull calves.  I also surprised my husband with three Myotonic goats that spring for his birthday and these three quickly lead to the decision to focus our herd on the Myotonics. We fell in love with the Myotonic breed and their personality, way more social than our pygmies. After the kidding season that fall we sold all but one of the pygmy goats except for the only doeling that was born, she was the first doeling ever born on our farm and I just couldn't let her go.

At Johnson A&B Farm we feel incredibly lucky that we get to do what we love. We’d love for you to take part in the Johnson A&B Farm experience. For more information, please get in touch!
